Born in Havana, Cuba, Naylet Leon is a landscape photographer living in Miami. In 2002, she received her Master’s degree in Literature at Florida International University, where she fell in love with the protagonists and literary landscapes she studied in her courses. It was this world of literature that inspired Naylet to begin her journey as a photographer in 2003. Her works envision the environment, its people, and the spaces they inhabit as critical protagonists in a visual storyline unraveling before her lenses. Besides her landscape photography, her work also includes photographic collages and abstract photography.
